The Monastery is also one of the most sacred spots for Armenians around the world. This tour will also take you to the Areni Cave (Bird’s Cave). In 2008, archeologists discovered several of the world’s oldest artifacts, including a leather shoe and a winery here. The site, overlooking Arpa River near the town of Areni, is claimed to date back to the Early Bronze Age. It contains evidence of elaborate burial rituals and agricultural practices. Another place that can’t be missed is Noravank. It is one of the gems of medieval Armenian architecture, nestled high among the stunning brick-red cliffs at the end of the Gnishik Canyon. Afterwards, you will be given the chance to taste and even purchase Armenia’s renowned Areni wine, made from the oldest grape variety in the whole world. Wonderful experience I would recommend it. it was not a guide but a driver he took me to watch the bread lavish being made I took photos and tasted it so this was a plus!!!I loved the vosits, a great driver who waited for me at each site and explained where I had to go. I could visit all the sites taking as much time as I liked at each one for photos. Because it was not a tour bus I didnt have to wait around for other tourists in a bus....and could visit one place after the other and he knew the roads really well so got back to Erevan really early Was fantastic and I really recommend it.A great idea,

I had a really great time during this full-day tour to Yerevan, Lake Sevan, Akhpat Monastery, and Sanahin Monastery. We saw much of the countryside, visited many beautiful sites, and saw three prominent locations in Yerevan. We also visited the monastery overlooking Lake Seven and ate Armenian cuisine near the lake. The fish I ate from Sevan was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. Beza, the guide, and Andrew (I think this was his name) were great hosts and provided an easy trip. Overall, highly recommend this tour if you want a fast-paced, varied Armenian experience in a short amount of time!

There were some misunderstandings as we communicated through translation with the person giving the tour, but it was resolved well. The person giving the tour was really friendly and accommodating, and it was great to see so many beautiful historical sites! The day was so nice that I think the various historical sites I saw today will become unforgettable memories. I had lunch at Garni and overall it was okay. If you want to comfortably enjoy historical sites in harmony with nature, this was an activity I would definitely recommend :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Grigor on this tour. He was keen to show off the best of southern Armenia, and had all of the facts to go with the sites he showed off. You'll love this if you want to see beautiful landscapes, a diverse cultural experience and of course plenty of monasteries!

Very well organized. The driver had tickets to all the activities in advance and guided us where to go etc and giving enough time for us to enjoy the places at our own pace!
