Privacy notice

1. Controller and contact

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use the service, we process account details (email, username and password hash), credit balances and transaction records, subscription and payment identifiers, referral relationships and commission records, prompts and generated scenario text, generation status, settings, provider request identifiers and video URLs. We do not collect or store payment card numbers; checkout is handled by Stripe.

3. Images, prompts and video processing

Optional visual references are stored in your browser's local IndexedDB until you clear them. When you submit a generation, the images and prompt are sent to the YB Video server and forwarded to the configured AI provider. The current implementation uses OpenAI for prompt drafting and fal.ai for video generation. Higgsfield may be added as a provider in a future version; it is not an active route in this build.

YB Video stores generation metadata, scenario text, status and returned video URLs in its database to provide history, operate the service and manage credits. Video files are hosted by the provider rather than permanently stored by YB Video. Provider retention and URL availability depend on that provider's policies and may change.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to create and administer accounts, provide video generation, deliver purchased credits, manage subscriptions and referrals, provide support, prevent abuse, secure the service and comply with legal obligations. Processing necessary to provide the service is based on performance of the contract; accounting and tax records are retained to meet legal obligations; security and fraud prevention may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Data may be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers, Stripe for checkout and subscription management, OpenAI for prompt drafting, and fal.ai for video generation. If other providers are enabled, the information will be updated accordingly. The hosting provider is InterServer, PO Box 1707, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632, USA. Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area or may process data there. Before launch, the applicable data-processing terms and transfer safeguards must be verified and documented.

6. Retention

Account and generation data are retained while needed to operate your account and provide the service. You may request account closure and deletion by contacting us; certain information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Accounting records and invoices may be retained for the legally required period, including up to 10 years where French accounting rules apply. Uploaded images are not intentionally stored on the YB Video server by the current generation flow. Provider-side retention is governed by the provider's policies.

7. Cookies and local storage

The application uses a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. It also uses browser local storage for selected settings and recent scenarios, and IndexedDB for locally saved reference images. You can clear these through the application's clear-setup control or your browser settings. This build does not include an analytics script in the YB Video application files.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data. Contact contact@ybierling.com to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): cnil.fr.

9. Security

Passwords are stored as password hashes. Access to account and administrative functions is restricted by authentication and session controls. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure; please use a unique password and report suspected account compromise.

10. Changes

We may update this notice when the service, providers or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
